The Maker

The Bavarian Forest is famous for its glass production, and just like production in the region the Theresienthal Crystal Manufactory also has a long and rich history. Founded in 1836 by Royal appointment, its crystal creations have graced the most refined tables, from the castles and palaces of King Ludwig II to the opulent residences of the Russian Imperial family in St. Petersburg.

To this day, Theresienthal remains an exclusive manufacturer with an unwavering commitment to craftsmanship. Every piece in the collection is blown, shaped, cut, engraved, painted and polished entirely by hand by expert artisans, many of whom have worked in the glassworks for decades and represent the fourth or fifth generation to do so in their family’s history.
