Ljubljana-born, RCA-trained jewellery designer Lara Bohinc’s first collection of home accessories has been designed in collaboration with stone specialists LAPICIDA. Lara originally studied industrial design before metalwork and jewellery, so the task of translating her skills and inspirations from a jewellery design consultant to Cartier into the world of luxury home accessories was a natural alternative.
Concepts inspired by the planets and their orbital movements, is a theme running through much of Lara’s work and in her partnership with LAPICIDA, she takes inspirations from the historic buildings of Venice, where complex marble inlay has been a decorative art for centuries.
