Fornasetti’s opulent candle is presented in a delicately coloured ceramic vessel with two lithographic images of muse and opera singer Lina Cavalieri characterised as the mythical fertility goddess ‘Flora’.

Infused with the eponymous Flora perfume, the candle carries an elegant white floral bouquet inspired by fragrant gardens surrounding the Fornasetti house in Milan. Created by perfumer Emmanuel Phillip, Flora delights the senses with its heady complexity of delicate white rose, jasmine and sandalwood.

Piero Fornasetti was a prolific 20th century Italian artist, painter, sculptor and decorator. His forte was bringing two dimensional objects to life, imbuing them with a three dimensional feel through art. Many designs originate from his iconic Themes and Variations collection, which combines humour and poetry in a range of luxury home decor pieces. Perhaps the most famous of images is the face of Fornasetti’s muse - the opera singer Lina Cavalieri - which adorns over 500 different products. Today it’s Piero’s son Barnaba who continues the Fornasetti tradition.
