Inspiration for this beautiful lidded jar comes from the Ming dynasty, and it's intricate design celebrates exotic Oriental flowers, foliage and birds in a balanced cobalt-blue underglaze decoration, laid over the white porcelain body by hand. A beautifully painted Chinese guardian lion sits atop the lid of this jar from Vista Alegre giving it a striking finishing touch.
